Chadd Bair knows you can never completely see what the future has in store, but for now, he thinks the Verde Valley is where he’s going to stay.
“It’s the coolest little community,” Bair said.
Bair lives in Rimrock with what he said is a “group of cowboys.”
He likes it, but Bair said he’s looking at possibly moving to Camp Verde, where he works.
Where he works is at Raul’s, a hair salon on Main Street that has been under the current ownership for about 10 months or so.
It’s the best place he’s worked, said Bair, who is originally from Hot Springs, Ark.
He left the Natural State back in 1999 and came to Flagstaff.
“I met a love interest,” Bair said.
The relationship didn’t exactly work out in the end, Bair said, but even though things were over in that department, Bair stayed on in Arizona.
Bair said he likes the feel of the place.
With agriculture and livestock around, Bair said it kind of reminds him a bit of the area he grew up in.
“I grew up in the country,” Bair said. “I hated it as a kid but now I love it.”
Bair said he’s sticking around.
“I’ve got no plans to take off,” Bair said. “I think this is going to be it for me.”
When Bair first moved to Arizona, he didn’t really have a job for awhile.
He decided to go to school to learn the art of working with hair.
