Dennis Goodwin, one of five candidates, may be the next superintendent of the Camp Verde Unified School District.
Following a Thursday, May 4, meeting, the district announced that the board planned to enter into contract negotiations with Goodwin.
Goodwin serves as superintendent of the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva School District in Minnesota to the south of Minneapolis.
The district office was planning to outline the next steps in the process sometime this week.
Prior to his Minnesota job, Goodwin worked a school district in South Dakota.
Even with his time up north, Goodwin does have plenty of experience here in the Grand Canyon State.
