Superintendent search widens

Published:

The Camp Verde Unified School District Governing Board is turning to the Arizona School Boards Association for help in the search for a new superintendent.

The effort was discussed at a meeting Thursday, March 12.

The ASBA is a private nonprofit organization that helps school boards across the state with a variety of services, including searching for new top administrators.

In addition to helping with the search for a new superintendent here, the ASBA is helping at least a dozen other school districts with searches at the moment, including Queen Creek and Window Rock.

Last month, current Superintendent Amber Lee submitted her letter of resignation to the board. Lee said that she wanted to be closer to her family in southern Arizona.
