Dawn Evans is back in town.
Standing behind a shop counter in Old Town Cottonwood Thursday afternoon, Evans gestured to an area beyond across the street.
“I grew up over there,” Evans said.
Back then, however, she had been ready to get out of Cottonwood.
“The town was just so small, it didn’t really have what I wanted,” Evans said. “I wanted some culture.”
Evans packed up and headed to the other side of the country, all the way to New Hampshire.
The Granite State would be her home for 13 years.
“I had some family there so I decided to go adventure out that way,” Evans said.
Evans ended up living in a small tight-knit community along New Hampshire’s strip of Atlantic coast.
