The construction of a new library in Camp Verde is back on track.
Financing has been arranged, according to a report from Town Manager Russ Martin’s office.
The Camp Verde Town Council delayed the project after costs for construction came back with a higher price tag than the town was looking for.
The council had sent the project out for bid earlier this year but rejected all bids for the construction of a new library in June.
The lowest bid was around $3.1 million.
Initial plans had called for $1.8 million in financing for a two-story, 17,000-square-foot building.
“The financing is in place, so we are ready to roll,” Camp Verde Library Director Kathy Hellman said.
Further details are expected sometime this week.
“We’re getting the bid packet together,” said Mike Showers, the town’s finance director.
Showers said the project could be sent out to bid sometime this month.
