Camp Verde girls soccer makes playoffs

Published:

The hope for the playoff-bound Camp Verde High School girls soccer team is that the end will be different from the beginning.

“Our big strength is in the game of teamwork,” head coach Pat Allen said. “So, if we are all playing as a team, we’re going to be unbeatable.”

Blue Ridge High School, which beat the Cowboys, 5-1, in their first game of the season, will be the first stop for CVHS on a desired three-game road to the Division IV fall state championship.

“The first game, we played some different arrangements,” Allen said. “We didn’t play well.”

Since then, sophomore Kyrsten Pedersen has joined senior Emma Ehresmann at stopper for CVHS, “which has given us more offense,” Allen said.
