The Town of Camp Verde is once more attempting to move forward with construction of a new library.

The Camp Verde Town Council looked at options for the new library, including financing, at its Aug. 27 meeting.

The council had sent the project out for bid earlier this year but efforts hit a snag. The council rejected all bids for the construction of a new Camp Verde Community Library in June.

Bids had been received for the project, the lowest being around $3.1 million. The initial plans had called for $1.8 million in financing for a 17,000-square-foot building with two stories.

According to Town Manager Russ Martin, the cost will be higher, but the project is still doable.
