Writers group forms at library

Published:

A new writing group is starting up and plans to meet monthly at the Camp Verde Community Library, and everyone is invited to join.

Named “Write Now!” the group is planning its first meeting for 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the library, 130 Black Bridge Loop Road, right off of Montezuma Castle Highway.

Amber Polo, a local author who is working to help get the group up and running and often works with promoting the library, said that the group will be modeled after the writers group that has been meeting regularly at the Cottonwood Public Library for more than a decade.

The group is planning to meet the second Monday of every month.

The group is for fun, so it doesn’t want to veer into some subject matter that could make the group seem a little less fun for some people.
