The town of Clarkdale is moving forward with using federal grant money to make improvements at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse and the town hall complex.
The Town Council held a required public hearing last week at its June 24 regular meeting although no one had any input on the proposed improvements.
The money will come from more than $265,000 received from a Community Development Block Grant, issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The grant money is distributed to local governments by the Arizona Department of Housing.
A significant part of the project being looked at is getting toilets in the clubhouse compliant with standards set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act, said Wayne Debrosky, Clarkdale public works and utilities director.
