Local teen vocalist Eli Torok-Bachar will sing the national anthem at the 2014 Fourth of July firework show in Cottonwood at 7:15 p.m. at the Verde Valley Fair Grounds. Torok-Bachar has performed the national anthem at this annual event since he was 14 years old.
He also sang the national anthem for the inaugural Welcome Home Veterans Day at the Verde Valley Fair grounds and at the first Fourth of July Laser Show at Sedona’s Posse Grounds Park; the Sizzling 4th of July Extravaganza at Tlaquepaque in Sedona; and the Old Fashioned 4th of July in Clarkdale.
Torok-Bachar has also been performing and competing out of town and in the Verde Valley. He has performed at Kulak’s Woodshed in the Los Angeles area, at Chandler Center of the arts, Arizona State University’s vocal competitions and ensembles, Prescott Center of the Arts Scholarship Competitions, the Verde Valley Concert Associations Scholarship Competitions, Yavapai College Vocal Ensembles, the Canyon Singers and the Tor Brothers Band.
