Proposed logo shows viticulture

The Cottonwood City Council has been looking at options for a new logo to represent the town.
A committee has been looking at options with the help of a branding consultant, and last week the town decided to move forward with a logo that includes a wine glass and a cottonwood leaf in the shape of a heart.

The council made the decision at its Tuesday, May 6, meeting, opting for the wine glass logo over one that featured a cottonwood tree, the Verde River and a representation of Old Town in the background.

“The logo design, tagline and website will be the hallmark of the city brand,” stated a report from Casey Rooney, Cottonwood’s Economic Development director. “It is important that we conduct this process and be sure that what is chosen is acceptable to council and the citizens of Cottonwood.”The City of Cottonwood is considering changing the town logo. While the logo is used as a seal or letterhead for official documents, it can also be found around town on city signs, like Garrison Centennial Park.
