After years of working for the Camp Verde Unified School District, Camp Verde Elementary School Principal Debi Pottorff will be retiring at the end of this school year.

Pottorff has worked for the elementary school for 28 years, the last seven as principal.

Prior to being the administrator for the school, Pottorff worked as a teacher in the second, third and fourth grades, as well as with the gifted student program for grades kindergarten to fifth grade.

“It was a hard decision,” Pottorff said. “It was bittersweet. I really love this school.”

Pottorff said she had plenty of plans for retirement and still plans to stay involved working in the community.
