The Camp Verde Town Council opened discussion last week about whether or not to change the name of Finnie Flat Road to Main Street.
Mayor Charlie German requested that the topic be brought up, although he was not at the April 2, meeting of the Town Council.
“[Mayor German] thought it would be the start of a good discussion,” Vice Mayor Jackie Baker said.
A committee of residents has been working on adopting “character areas” for the town, places where planning is based on a particular area’s identity and feel, in preparation for a new general plan for the town.
