The Yavapai-Apache Nation is preparing to expand transit options across the Verde Valley.

The project would run passenger buses between the two sites along the State Route 260 corridor, vehicles similar to the buses that operate under the Cottonwood Area Transit-Verde Lynx system.

A regular transportation route would be a boon for residents on both ends of the Nation’s Verde Valley lands.

While the route would provide a way for people to travel between the reservations, part of the goal is also to provide a service for people who aren’t tribal members with stops in convenient locations around the Verde Valley.
