Couple takes on new tasks in feature film ‘Finding Neighbors’

When the Sedona International Film Festival kicks off this month, one of the films presented will give a former resident the opportunity to return to where she spent her formative years.

Jennifer Young attended Verde Valley School in the 1970s, and now she is bringing “Finding Neighbors” — a feature she produced and her husband, Ron Judkins, wrote and directed — to the festival.

“It was a really, really, really long time ago,” she said. “It was about 1978 that I was there. Sedona, seriously, was a sleepy little town. It was tiny. I actually called Verde Valley School to confirm the years I went there, and I went, ‘Wow, that was a really long time ago!’”
