While many people all over the Verde Valley are doing their best to get into the Christmas spirit, a few of them are working behind the scenes to bring that spirit to children who otherwise might not experience it.
Helping those families out around the holidays has been the mission for a group of charity-minded individuals in Camp Verde for more than two decades.
The Adopt-a-Family program was started years ago by local resident Pat Kaminsky, who knew there were families who wouldn’t have much, if anything at all, for Christmas.
