This summer is a good time to get involved in a unique sport that can be played in one of the most beautiful courses in Arizona.
Arizona Snowbowl’s golf course is now open for the summer season.
Originally designed for the 2003 Professional Disc Golf Association World Championships, the 18-hole course is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with fresh tee pads, new and improved signage for navigating the course, and disc rentals Fridays through Sundays.
It is also free to use.
Disc golf is a game in which participants throw a flying disc with the objective to make the basket at each “hole.” The object of the game is to end the course with the fewest number of throws of the disc, just as in strokes in golf. Putters, all-purpose mid-range discs and drivers are the types of discs used.
