The Cowboys baseball team is expected to have a successful season, thanks to its strong lineup of seniors.
Camp Verde went 18-10 with a state tournament appearance last season, getting knocked out during the first round, 4-2, by Snowflake. This season, the coaches and players have no doubt that they have the skills and talent to go further in the tournament.
“We have a strong senior core, a good pitching staff and good leadership,” senior center fielder Austin Stotzman said. “Our coaches have made us more aggressive, disciplined and game-ready.”
Former Cowboys assistant coach Will Davis moved into the head coaching position this season and will be helped by assistant Bryan Pelfrey.
