Mingus beats Sedona but fails to reach playoffs

The Mingus Union Marauders ended the 2012-2013 regular season in a strong way but short of seeing postseason action.

The Marauders finished 12-15, two more wins than they had last year. While the team is likely disappointed with the last game of the season, losing by one point 49-48, to conference rival Bradshaw Mountain, the Marauders beat cross-valley rivals Camp Verde and Sedona Red Rock twice this season. Bradshaw Mountain beat Mingus Union 54-53 just a week before.

The last win of the season at Sedona Red Rock High School on Thursday, Jan. 31, was a game that encompassed the success of the seniors and a preview of the upcoming talent of the MUHS boys basketball program.
