Let’s again review new districts prior to general election

With the general election just over a month away and early voting starting next week, it seemed like a good time to remind people of the district changes.

The process of redistricting seemed to confuse even those involved, and people particularly seemed to struggle as the primary approached.

We made it through, but I wouldn’t doubt confusion still existed when people received their ballots at the polling place and wonder who the people listed are.

To clear it up for those who continue to struggle, here is the Larson Newspapers guide to voting in your new districts.

If you live in the Yavapai County portion of Sedona or the Village of Oak Creek:

? Yavapai County Supervisor District 3

? Arizona Legislative District 6

? U.S. Congressional District 1

If you live in the Coconino County portion of Sedona:

? Coconino County Supervisor District 3

? Arizona Legislative District 6

? U.S. Congressional District 1

If you live in Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome or Verde Villages:

? Yavapai County Supervisor District 3

? Arizona Legislative District 6

? U.S. Congressional District 4

If you live in Cornville:

? Yavapai County Supervisor District 2

? Arizona Legislative District 6

? U.S. Congressional District 4

If you live in Camp Verde, the Rimrock area or any other communities along Interstate 17:

? Yavapai County Supervisor District 2

? Arizona Legislative District 6

? U.S. Congressional District 1

If you still can’t figure it out, visit either Yavapai or Coconino counties’ websites, or the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission’s website.

Hopefully by the time this election season is over, residents will again feel comfortable knowing who represents them in each of the governing bodies.
