Rhythm ’n’ Ribs is rarin’ to go

Published:

??The Cottonwood Parks and Recreation Department just got finished with the preparation and execution of last weekend’s Thunder Valley Rally.

Now staff are moving on to the next big event, the seventh annual Rhythm ’n’ Ribs event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22.

Kaley Badger with the city of Cottonwood said that Hezekiah Allen with Parks and Recreation has been very busy in preparation for the city’s events this time of year.

“He can be hard to track down,” Badger laughed.

The work of the event’s organizers seems to have set the stage for a day of fun and food for the entire family.

Of course, the town isn’t pulling off this year’s event all by itself. Cliff Castle Casino is a major sponsor, along with several other businesses and organizations that are coming together in the hopes of making this year’s Rhythm ’n’ Ribs another success story.

Headlining this year’s musical acts is Lou Gramm, aka “the voice of Foreigner,” the band he helped found in the 1970s that went on to produce such hits as “Waiting for a Girl Like You” and “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
