Police hunt for attempted robbery suspect

The Cottonwood Police Department is asking for help in identifying and locating an armed robbery suspect from earlier this morning, Wednesday, Sept. 12.

At approximately 10:16 a.m., an employee of a car wash in the 700 block of E. State Route 89A in Cottonwood called to report a robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with dark hair and a mustache.He was last seen wearing blue jeans, and a button-up shirt with brown and white stripes.

The suspect reportedly approached the employee while wearing a type of Halloween mask and brandished a wooden club.

He demanded money from the employee before getting into a physical altercation. The suspect fled on foot towards the area of E. Date and S. 8th streets.
