Out of Africa Wildlife Park welcomes new arrivals

Published:

Things at Out of Africa Wildlife Park have been thrown to the wolves — well, things like chew toys, anyway.

The park recently acquired four baby wolves after park owners Dean and Prayeri Harrison drove up to Montana to get them in May.

They stopped at a hotel on the way back down with Kanab, Legend, Wisdom and Kahliyah in tow.

“We had to pay a little extra to keep ‘pups’ in the room,” Prayeri Harrison laughed.

The young wolves are from two separate litters, but they’re getting along nicely, said Natalie Benson, one of the caretakers for the wolves.

Now around 8 weeks old, the wolves have graduated to more solid food from the original formula they previously enjoyed.

They now enjoy a smorgasbord of some meat, goat milk, vegetables and dog food, which provides important nutrients.
