The Camp Verde Junior All-Stars softball team [ages 13 to 14] began practice last week with a goal to take things slowly and concentrate on the task at hand.
“We need to get through the district first and just take it one step at a time,” Camp Verde skipper Henry Smith said.
The District 10 Arizona Little League All-Stars Junior Softball Tournament is scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 27, in Camp Verde. Smith believes he’s got a solid lineup from top to bottom and didn’t forget to mention his pitching staff either, which consists of the best amateur talent around.
