3 districts raise teacher salaries

Teachers and staff in the Clarkdale-Jerome, Cottonwood-Oak Creek and Mingus Union High school districts will receive pay increases for the 2012-2013 school year.

COCSD and MUHSD approved increases in teacher pay during board meetings which took place on May 8 and May 10 respectively, during Teacher Appreciation week. The CJSD board approved pay increases a month earlier, during an April 10 meeting.

For teachers and nonteaching staff at CJSD and COCSD, the increases are the first bump in base salaries since the 2008-2009 school year.
