The Camp Verde Middle School baseball team struggled Thursday, April 19, suffering its second defeat of the season to the visiting Longhorns, 10-2.
“The boys did OK out there. Payson is just the better team,” second-year Camp Verde Head Coach Brian Pelfrey said.
Payson Middle School, which already defeated the Cowboys earlier this season, 10-0, scored two quick runs in the top of the first inning Thursday and never looked back.
