In golf for Camp Verde, junior Wilfred Tewawina finished 69th overall at the Division III State Championships in Prescott on May 13 and 14.

Although Tewawina didn’t meet the top 15 finish requirements to earn a first-, second- or honorable-mention All-State award, he did qualify to make the state tournament which is an outstanding accomplishment.

Tewawina was one of 81 players to qualify in Division III this spring, and with over 50 schools and nearly 500 golfers eligible to qualify, he deserves recognition
